Elly, thank you so much for your welcome. I am excited about the 29-gift giving challenge and already started yesterday! It was a much-needed encouragement to someone who was feeling low. I will try to post my progress as often as I can.

- Why I'm choosing to give:
- Ever since I saw Pay It Forward there has always been a "tug" on my heart to become involved in a movement of this magnitute in some small way. Being a pastor's wife, we are conscious of giving of ourselves but I believe this would be a fulfilling way to achieve this and it would be challenging to think of new ideas in which to give.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- Knowing that I have helped someone in some small way would be a gift in itself....being supportive, inspiring to others, etc. is a very satisfying feeling.
- How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?

- About me:
- I am 61; a wife, mother, former foster mom, pastor's wife; an OSCI (one stroke painter); crafter/hobbyist; play piano and sing.

To the Moon said… - Welcome to the writers group! Journaling since the 90's ? WOW that is very impressive!
Don't know if you watch Oprah, but yesterday's show featured the writer of Twilight. She shared that she was inspired by a dream and started writing. She had never had anything to do with writing until that day. What I thought was so inspirational was that she talked about starting the book at chapter 13 and continued to write until the end. Then, she went back and wrote the beginning chapters. That was so "out of the box". I love the fact that she didn't follow the rules. She just wrote her thought as fast as she could. I think we could all learn from that lesson.
