I bought groceries for someone that I love.

Somehow one day, then another passed when I didn't consciously practice gift giving. So I decided yesterday to begin again.
I gave my friend Gretchen the book "29 Gifts" because she had expressed an interest in it.
Today I have written two cards to employees expressing my gratitude for them.

Yesterday my gift was to buy dinner for a good friend.
The gift I received in return was my debit card. I had left it at the restaurant. It was safely stored away for me until I could return for it!

Yesterday was Day 6 of my giving challenge.
My gift was an hour of undivided attention to a colleague as she shared some very painful events from her life and how she made a powerful recovery. This might have been more of a gift to me than to her, come to think of it!

I bought this cute book of post-it notes that have silly comments on them like "you're a superstar" or "here is your gold star". I randomly placed those on the staff meeting agendas today. This broke the ice before we got down to business!
