I still contend that Sunday's are the easiest days to give so far. At church just a little extra in the offering plate goes to help our "1's for the many campaign", helping those that come in our door every day needing some assistance. This afternoon I helped my college daughter out by baking a dish for her to take to a pot luck at school tonight - she could have made it, but it's a hassle with all of the ingredients and getting her turn in the dorm kitchen. Well, I did end up doing more giving yesterday, day 12 - I was able to donate 5 boxes of clothes and household items to a local charity, I took my son to get a passport, I complemented an over-worked teller at the bank, and I clicked away at "click-to-give" sites, I sent my husband who is traveling a couple of surprise notes to let him know we miss him...then I became a grouch. My husband was coming home today from a week long business trip and I had planned all week to get a surprise done for him. Many of us have exercise equipment that does a great imitation of a clothes rank in our rooms, right? We are headed down to Texas for Thanksgiving next week at my in-laws home. My mother-in-law has still been feeling pretty bad, but insists we come anyway. I have told her repeatedly that she shouldn't lift a finger, we can take care of anything and everything and she did finally say that she bought a new robe and couple of gowns so she'd just lie around on the couch. I really should have started my 29 day's on the first - my mismatched numbers are throwing me off, ha ha.
Today I did a lot of work around my house, but did take the time this afternoon to get my girls hair cut and mine done as well. While I was at my friends home, she is our hairdresser, her mom was visiting and not feeling well so Suzy felt bad about being away from her mom so much to do her clients hair. I went in and visited with her mom for quite awhile so Suzy could relax and… Continue
