smiling on the inside!

this is Day 3 for me and I'm smiling on the inside! this is my first-ever blog - way cool! - but I'm not sure how often I'll post - I feel a little "shy"Actually I like to journal every day, so that is how I'm tracking my 29 gifts so far and I'm really enjoying the challenge. I like to believe that most people are inherently giving and good and this provides a great track for us to run on. It's so true that we receive more than we give.See More

Why I'm choosing to give:: I just completed a half marathon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - it was an awesome, rewarding experience. Now I'm looking for my next way to give back for all the blessings in my life.

What I'd most like to receive:: The feeling of gratitude, peace and joy from giving of oneself without expection of return or reward, and may my heart be filled with compassion and loving kindness!

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: my husband brought home a NY Times article he printed from his computer @ work

About me:: I've been retired for 5 years; have my own small business as a beauty consultant; I am always searching for ways to live with purpose and meaning!
I have been happily married to my best friend for 45 yrs; we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren
