- About me:
- I am a medicine woman, teacher, healer, creative artist and cowrie shell diviner. I also do telephone divinations.The 29 day giving ritual originated from the Medicine work I have embarked on. When we have so much we can still live in the scarcity of not having enough or being enough a message received in the Western world on a daily basis. Giving of any kind, taking an action begins the process of change, and moves us to remember that we are part of a much greater universe. Try this what if you were to give away something that you felt you could never part with?
I have been a Holistic Health Educator, Group Facilitator and Traditional Practitioner for the last 30 years.
I completed an MA in Therapeutic Bodywork from The University of Westmister, London, the first of its kind, where I gained a Post Graduate Diploma. I have spoken and taught Internationally on holistic health. This took me to Europe, London and the USA. My audience has included health professionals such as nurses and doctors.
I have a diverse background in the healing arts, and I combine my knowledge in Integrative Medicine, traditional practices and spiritual guidance to provide a sound foundation in healing modalities that work with the whole body in a unique way.
In 1999 I joined The Institute for Health and Healing, San Francisco’s Integrative Medicine and Spirituality Program, California Pacific Medical Center, where I devised a massage program later sought after by other medical establishments all over the country. I was a major contributor to the Institute’s Transformative Education Program, devising curriculum, structure, and co- ordinating retreats for renouned speakers in Integrative Medicine. It was there that I introduced ritual into mainstream medicine. I was known by my students for holding a sacred space while working with their deepest fears and process. I see the potential in all of my students and clients I guide them to bring forth their greatness, while moving them to explore the mystery of their life.
I have worked with people in all works of life. More recently I have worked with homeless and substance abuse addicts. In 2006 I trained to become an HIV/ AIDS Educator and Counselor with the homeless,and it is a privilege.
In 2002 I studied the Art of Cowrie Shell Divining and became a Diviner. I have worked extensively with clients, one on one and also as a retreat facilitator. I introduce participants and clients to Nature as healer, ancestors as support and guides and ritual as prescriptions for healing and change. I have lead vision quests in California for the last six years.
I have four published articles on Integrative Medicine, specializing in the Power of Touch and Mindfulness. My writing has appeared on line in blog format in 29 gifts, my own blog, on South Africa. I continue to travel around the country by invitation, where I provide Divination Salons and speak about my work to many people.
