Day 7

Posted on September 28, 2008 at 11:30pm 1 Comment

I heard of this unusual "event" of nature in our hometown so I had to drag my family out of the house (specially my husband) in order to see it.

There is a bridge over the major wash in Tucson, the Rillito river, that has become home to thousands of bats. For some instinct or force of nature all the bats decide to go out at around 6.30 in the evening...and we were there to see it, along with some other 40 people. It was spectacular, the noise, the wind, the creep!!! The cloud of bats… Continue

Day 7

Today I saw a beautiful baby scrapbook at the store and I bought it for my friend who is expecting her first baby for next December. I packed it in a box with some of my maternity clothes and mailed to her. I hope she likes it!

Day 6

Posted on September 26, 2008 at 12:30am 0 Comments

It used to be that I had my one-on-one time with my 4-year-old after the other two had gone to bed (he is a late owl). Since school has started he is more tired and ready for bed earlier…so I miss those days!

But tonight it was my lucky night and he was up late, so I gave him his present I got from the local toy store earlier this week. I got him a wooden puzzle board that has buttons, shoelaces, zippers and belt buckles. He loved it. He loves to do busy tricky things with his hands and… Continue

Day 5

Posted on September 25, 2008 at 12:30am 0 Comments

Today I had one of those busy, crazy days of running errands all over the place. But while I was at the grocery store I remember my very good friend was sick at home with stomach flu and three little kids so I called her to see what she needed from the store and made her day easier. She was glad I called!

Day 4

Posted on September 24, 2008 at 12:30am 0 Comments

Today my 6 year-old son got up very early, as usual, and we had our usual quiet one-on-one time in the morning. I though I was a good time to give him his present I got at the toy store a few days ago. He loved his solar system puzzle! And when my 4-year-old got up later he was so happy to show his little brother how to do it and share with him…. it was a joy to see them.
