Day 3

Today I gave my time to an old and dear friend of mine. We had fun talking about everything that was new in both of our lives and simply just being in each others presence. She taught me to knit, since I have forgotten, and we just simply enjoyed each other's company. It was nice and pleasant.

Why I'm choosing to give:: I am choosing to give, in hopes to change the way I look at the world and also so that others will be inspired and do it as well.

What I'd most like to receive:: I would most like to receive a new outlook on the world and myself.

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: MS society

About me:: I am a student at the University of Louisville and recently engaged. I am studying bioengineering in hopes to one day become an MS researcher. Holding two offices within my sorority AOII as vice president of administration and keeper of the ritual, I stay pretty busy but love every minute of it. Just through my experience with AOII, I have been inspired to do more than I ever really thought was possible. I hope to get some new inspiration from this experience as well.

I rented a movie and cuddled with my fiance! We never get any real time together because our schedules are so crazy. It was nice to really take the time to hear how his day went and just be held.

Today I helped a visitor on campus find their way to the building they were looking for. Instead of just pointing, I actually (for once) walked with them to make sure they got there!

I spent the day with my grandmother. We went to a rummage sale and a local boutique. For lunch she treated me to Gaithers' restaurant which was delicious! The gift I gave was time and a listening ear. My grandpa is a quiet man and my grandma just needs someone to talk to. She recently lost her mother last month and has been working on getting her things together while also taking care of my grandfather. She is a very social women but doesn't get out much these days because she is so busy. She… Continue

I gave my self a gift by washing my car and getting the oil change. I kept not making time for it. Also I called my grandparents who live three hours away and headed up to Muncie, IN to visit them.
