Feelings Memorial Day weekend

After reading Deb J's last post I feel like I have to add a blog. I feel exactly like Deb does. I raised my son to not be prejudice and when anyone would start talking that way I would tell them what I thought and walk away. Even my 2nd husband who was the love of my life was somewhat biased. He fought in the Korean War along side all races and colors. When he would start to tell a joke about color I would stop him especially if Kody was around. Why I'm choosing to give:: Because there are so many things I can share and it will come back to me 2 fold.

What I'd most like to receive:: Feel good about myself

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: out of rocky mountain MS magazine. I trade the Nebraska Momentem with someone that gets the rocky mountain

About me:: I am a few month past 59 and still here. Amazing! I have 1 son 29 he lives about 180 miles from me. I have a sister and a brother. We are all placed about 200 miles from one and 300 from the other. Just about right. My husband and parents have all gone to higher pastures. I am on disability 100% and so don't work. I try and touch base with the other people in this apartment complex. I have one cat right now named Catbalou, but Balou for short. I volunteer at the Sr. Ctr. here when needed and try and eat there at least a couple times a week. Mostly good people and I really enjoy the thrift shop in the center. They get so much every day. It is a real job keeping things unpacked and put out. I used to volunteer at the No Kill Animal Shelter, but my Dr. said it was to hard on my lungs. I have asthma, was born with it. My Grandpa I never knew died from it and it usually skips a generation. I have a host of other ailments, but I think the Asthma is the most serious right now. I love to be on the computer, make my own cards on the computer, read, listen to country music, flowers in pots. I would love to ride horses again, but my balance is so bad that I couldn't get up much less stay on. I live in the SW corner of NE. and we have many weather changes and most of the time all in one day. Well all that is enough. Take care and God Bless you all.
