Days 15 & 16

Day 15 - Working with a client I had met for the first time ( I teach private baking lessons in my home ) I knew it was her birthday, so in addition to the "planed menu" we were going to be working on, I baked her a mini fancy cake of her own, complete with pink roses, homemade chocolate truffle butter cream icing and a candle - Everyone should have cake on thier birthday ( or many cakes! )Day 16 - At the mall with my 15 month old daugher, she managed to swipe a faux fur baby coat from a store…See More

Day 14

Yesterday I was sick all day ( I have strep and aches, etc ) thus I didnt really think too much about doing anything for others, other then getting through my day - However since I have 2 little ones at home ( 3.5 yr and 15 months ) I had to drag myself out of bed to watch them and put on a smile and be the best mama I could until my husband came home to take over... So I guess my give was trying to protect my babes from seeing a mom who cant keep it together - By keeping thier day normal even…See More

Day 14

Last night I had the pleasure of getting a mani/pedi from a gift card someone had given me - the lady did such a wonderful treatment that I tipped her double the ammount that I normally would give - It made us both feel good :-)

Days 9 & 10

Day 9 I baked a batch of one of my "special" Mondelbrot cookie recipes for a group of friends when going over to see them ( Sort of a cross between a choc. chip cookie and a snickerdoodle in a soft biscotti form - they are yum! ) I love to share what I bake ....Day 10 - Sometimes it seems I dont stop ALL day - This was one of those days where the "giving" became just the little things - I found myself being way more aware to let other cars go in front of me, to stop and hold back traffic…See More

Day 9

Today was an extremely hectic and non stop day - I got so caught up that the only thing I gave away was, in truth, every drop of engery and patience that I have ( not sitting for even a minute ) to my 3.5 year old and 15 month old children - I handled everything from eaten dog food, to hands in toilets to being spit on, sat on, hair pulled, screaming boo boo making , full on messes - ending the day drained with a headache ... Tylenol PM is my friend tonight :-)

After calling the "Vets" to come to the house tomorrow to pick up our stuff, my hubby & I loaded the front porch with just about everything we could to donate ... Toys, clothes, books... It feels to good to make room and also know that someone else is going to be enjoyng the things you are letting go of...
