Days 2 & 3 & 4 so far

So days 2 and 3 my giving was not of epic proportions. Day 2 I began the process to volunteer at a local nursing home to help teach knitting and host a knitting circle. This is something I have wanted to do for a while and finally put it on the top of my list.Day 3- I was a kind and conscious driver, a rare thing in NJ. I was referred to 29 gifts by a friend of mine, Dug, who I haven't seen in years. This past weekend I participated in the Philadelphia Race for Hope for the National Brain Tumor Society in celebration of a close friend of mine who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August.Dug saw my posting on Facebook asking for support and followed through making a generous donation. Why I'm choosing to give:: There is too much negativity in the world that I find really discouraging. I look for ways every day that I can counteract that.

What I'd most like to receive:: Peace of mind, understanding, positive energy oh and financial independence.

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: An old friend.

About me:: I am a 36 year old with 3 college degrees and not using any of them. I am currently work at an architecture firm that doesn't provide me with a lot of satisfaction, so I am looking to change that. Outside of work I teach knitting and try to knit as much as possible in my spare time, while watching a lot of baseball!

I worry ALOT about different things- mostly medical and financial issues as I've suffered from General Anxiety Disorder most of my life and I feel that doing things for others takes my mind off of all the worries.
