Dear friends



Well, that wasn't just a big gap in blogging - I felt so burnt out at work, the mere thought of dreaming up and implementing a gift made me feel drained. Yes, even a little one. Even now (and after twice not getting it finished) 29 days of giving seems daunting to me. So, I'm going to let myself take it day by day, give when I can, and maybe once I've found enough of a rhythm, try out the full challenge again.

Thought I had a pretty nice idea for a gift today.

In the morning, I dropped off my son at a friend. The friend's mom has a new baby, and the two of them were looking exceptionally beautiful. So, I decided that when I came back to pick my boy up, I'd take some nice photos of her and the baby, and send them to her.

Dear friends on this journey



After day 20 of my first round a couple of days passed when I just did not manage to get the mindful giving done. That's been a learning experience. At first I wanted to pick up and finish my original Round 1, but meanwhile Cami's book arrived (a GREAT read) and I'll follow Mbali's advice to start over, and release the energy of the previous round.

I'm not really ready for it to be Day 21 AT ALL.

I've slipped up on several days along the way, and still feel like a real beginner. Clearly this was very much a starter round, and I'm going to buy Cami's book right now to help inspire and guide my thinking a bit for Round 2 - luckily I also have all you inspiring bloggers and friends around, or I don't think I'd even have made it this far.
