Day 5 Lunch and Flowers

Today I sent a spring flower arrangement to a friend that is going through some touch personal times. Her father has dementia and is going down hill. The card simple said, "Just wanted to make you smile." She is a great person and really deserved it.
I also bought lunch for my girl friend and her daughter. We had such a lovely time.
I received a great rate on my new mortgage, a call of an old friend and a new hair do!

Day 3 Reaching Out

Lately I have been so focused on my own problems till I can't stand myself. Staring 29 gifts (I did a couple of rounds a year ago) will put my attention on others and bring me out of this cycle.
Today I emailed a friend I have neglected the last few months. Well, she certainly need it. Her life is falling apart in very real ways and she is lost, lonely and afraid. It brought me back to reality about the many blessings in my life.

Day 2 Listening

I will admit, I am not the best listener. I tend to zone out and drift mentally when certain people share their stories. After being inspired by another blogger last night, I made an extra effort to be a good listener. I actually enjoyed being a good listener and plan on being one more often. Life isn't just about ME.
The co worker I gave my attention to today seemed happy.
