Ok woes are done, I know what they are, everybody's got their own problems. Oh boo hoo.

Good things, now that's more like it..... I have a great dog, who has diabetes but he's very plucky and still wants to walk and play with a stick all the time. I have a foster cat who was mangled and abused in her other life. Yet she's the most resilient creature I've met and a daily inspiration to me to be strong and show courage when it's needed. I live in a quiet neighborhood, in a beautiful spot where I can look across the valley to some mountains. Well they call them mountains out here in central Maryland :) either way it sure is pretty. I have a car, it might be breaking down now but it runs most of the time and gets me where I need to go. It's a great car!
I have a great idea for a non-profit that distributes fresh produce to low income and disadvantaged people in urban areas. If you'd have told me that I'd have thought of something like that even 6 months ago, I'd have laughed at you. Hard.

Got the same teller at the bank who remembered me because I had thanked her for her efforts in helping me on my first day. That was a receive actually, I think.
I had a hard time giving today. I had a very bad day at my new job yesterday and I wanted to do was be quiet and work. I did work hard to keep my focus on not "closing up" to people. I made sure I was polite to everyone, pleasant on the phone, and thanked people for assisting me with… Continue

Day 11 - 1st day on the job

I made sure that the nice woman I am working with knew that I appreciated what was obviously a lot of hard work on her part, getting old piles of paperwork straight.
I thanked the woman at the bank who made an extra effort to help me get some deposit items straightened out. She really went that "extra mile" to help a new person out.
