There were fewer kids who wrote on our "public" giving list in the front of the room today. - I am challenging my eighth grade students to look outside themselves and give to others. We are joining as a class and we'll be submitting a final project as a class as well.

So, after thinking about this all night, I started the 29-Day Giving Challenge with my 8th graders by showing the video of Cami... the kids thought she laughed a lot (and hey, what's wrong with that?), but they listened.

I was merrily traipsing along the path of eighth grade history with my students, when they threw me a curve ball. In our discussions of varying perspectives on Christopher Columbus, they began asking me questions about the modern world and varying perspectives on events that happened just a few years ago.
