How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: Ode Magazine

About me:: Life is good. Let us do something meaningful with it. I'm taking this challenge in order to try to make a long-term change towards more generous thoughts, and then more generous deeds. I want it to become a natural habit.

In my professional life I am the Webmaster for Caritas Australia, an international aid and development agency. The organisation is part of the Caritas Internationalis network - the second largest humanitarian network in the work (after the Red Cross). I love my job, I consider myself very lucky to be able to use my skills to help some of the poorest of the poor in the world. I hope to make a mark with community-building work in some way, although I am yet to figure out how and in what area. This challenge is a good start though?
I'm a learning Buddhist and hope to make this challenge a permanent part of my practise and mind-set.

More little things

My giving lately is more coming from my mind and my intentions lately...I have been trying to more magnamious towards people I find challenging, and keep returning to how can I improve their happiness and better include them in the journey and let go of my wish to control the situation towards a certain outcome. Little bitty gives

This week has been about extending the hand of friendship.I gave to a friend by listening to their latest big joy and giving them someone to chat to about it when all their other friends were busy, by recognising their loneliness. Told a colleague her hair looked fabluous, and started hatching a plot to help someone tick something off their 'bucket list.'
