Today my friend sent me 3 chapters from a book she's writing about her life and experiences. I took the time to read and give her my feedback which basically included just how brave I think she is and how much I love her. In the end we were both in tears and our friendship that much closer. Taking that extra time for your friends is priceless... Everyone needs to know how much you care every once in awhile. You never know when that person looking might be yourself.

Today I was riding the train and it's a normal experience for the homeless or musicians to ask for money to support them.  So many that if I donated a dollar every time it happens I probably wouldn't be able to pay my bills. :) However today was different, I over heard a woman's voice near the back of the train say "I have MS and I'm struggling to live and take care of my 12 year old daughter -- we both are living in a homeless shelter -- please donate anything you can and I also accept food --… Continue

Today I gave the gift of time, I called my Grama and chatted for a good hour or so. She has been in and out of the hospital lately due to diabetes and bad circulation so to get her spirits up I got her to sing with me over the phone. She loves the song Will the CIrcle Be Unbroken and I'll Fly Away. I love to hear her sing, I feel like the gift was for both of us today. Today was my first day of the 29-Day Giving Challenge. I was on the subway coming home and noticed a young boy holding a white cardboard box with $1 CANDY written on it. He was by no means trying to make a sell, he barely looked at me so I could tell he was quite shy (which could prove difficult if you are trying to sell things).
