Hello everyone!
Hi there! This is a busy week for us as we have our two adult kids and their partners home for the week! It has been wonderful and fun! Both my husband and I feel very fortunate to have good jobs and more income than we have ever had. We are happy to share the wealth with our kids, by gifting them with things that they might need along the way or even just paying for their gas to come home! Our kids are equally generous and grateful to us and each other. It is wonderful to see! There are so many opportunities to give during the day! I am looking forward to completing this 29 day challenge in as many creative ways as I can.

Thanks for your comments Dawn! Today 10 of our Social Work students along with 3 of us instructors held our 2nd annual "community give day" as part of a community social work project. We put a request out for donations of clothing, toys and household items from the college community and the local thrift store donated items as well and boy did we get donations! Students and community members could come in to "shop" by donating a food item or cash to the local food bank. We had a very successful… Continue

So many people are coming down with colds and of course the H1N1 threat looms over everyone, so today I brought a box of Ester C drink packages to share with the 28 students in my college class. They were quite pleased to receive something like this from me. I was also able to make 2 cards at the noon hour art tables put on by the college counsellors for students and staff. What fun! This was a gift for me. Taking time out to do art for even as little as 20 min. is a wonderful stress… Continue
