So it's Day 1, again, for me. This is not because I haven't given, rather because I have avoided my computer, like the plague. (I had just hit computer overload and needed to reboot). I have given, but since I didn't write the "gives" down I wanted to start the year anew. Today I gave away Happ… Continue

Today I went to have dinner with my son at our favorite sushi spot. We were excited to see our favorite waitress, Natalie, only to find out that we wouldn't be seated in her area. Ugh! I had anticipated giving her a "holiday tip" today. We had our dinner, served by the other waitress who wasn't particularly friendly, nor nearly 1/2 as good as Natalie. I paid the check and then slipped a $… Continue
Ok, so I have missed more than 1 day, several in fact, therefore I have committed to starting the 29 Day Giving Challenge all over again. Today I am happy to be giving away more than 1 gift. You see, I am going to the Holiday Party of the Pilates Studio that I teach… Continue
I spend most of my time with my son. However, weekends are 24/7. So yesterday, Day 4, I can safely say that I gave to V. We had a nice morning playing at home, we went to brunch with Daddy and then we shopped together in the evening. It was a beautiful family day. Continue

Today I decided to invite my friend G and her daughter to dinner at my house. I am not much of a cook, but now that my son is eating what I eat I have decided that I'd better make more of an effort in the kitchen. Take out will not longer do. I had stumbled upon a recipe for butternut squash casserole and I decided to try it out on my friends. Well, my gift of dinner was a great suc… Continue
Today after I taught my Pilates mat class I had an hour free, so I asked Stephanie, the studio owner, if she would give me a Pilates session. She said "sure" and she kicked my butt. :) Afterwards I asked her how much I should pay her. She told me that I didn't have to pay her anything. I insisted, as her time is worth something. (Paying her was my gift for today). So she said "OK" and told me how much her… Continue

(Our Ladies Who Launch Incubator Group, where the 29 Day Giving Challenge & La Buena Life were developed).
I've known Cami for about a year and a half, basically since the inception of 29gifts.org. It is so amazing to see the growth of her little idea into a full… Continue
Today I was lucky enough to have a day to myself. I made it self-indulgent, with a manicure, lunch and a movie. I managed to fit in some errands (like buying dog food and diapers) and I gave GENEROUS tips to my waiter & manicurist. It was a much needed, relaxing, day. Continue
Days 2 & 3 fell on the weekend. I have to admit that I gave (what's left of) my energy to my family the entire weekend. I spent time with my husband, son, in-laws, aunts and cousin. And then the weekend was over. So my time was all I was able to give. Continue
Well, today I gave at least one thing away. The one that I recall was a diaper to a mommy, in my Stroller Strides exercise class. Luckily her daugter wears the same size diaper as my son. It felt great to be of help to this mommy. Of course, I told her all about the 29 Day Giving Challenge. So hopefully she will check it out and join us.… Continue
Well, lots has happened since I fell off the 29 Gifts radar. I have a new baby boy & I started a new business, and online community called La Buena Life. Through La Buena Life my hope is to positively-charge members' lives and inspire them to feel good, look good and do good. Motherhood is grand (although exhausting) and my new business is a lot of fun. Cami inspired me with the Giving Challenge and has helped me a lot getting La… Continue
Boy does time fly by. My 29 Days came and went in the blink of an eye. It was so much fun! So many positives have happened in my life since I started the 29-Day Giving Challenge, and although I am not recording all of my gifts I continue to give, It's so rewarding. I love seeing people's faces light up when I give them a gift, whether that be my time or a physical item. Their response makes my day and makes me want to give even more.
I am so grateful to Cami for giving us this forum to help oth… Continue

Well, I am happy to say that it has been more than 29 days and I continue to give. It's addicting. So many good things have been coming my way since I began this and I feel so good, why would I stop? Last week I cleaned out my closet (way overdue) and ended up giving 13 shopping bags of clothes to a combination of my cousins and Goodwill. I am sure that someone can use those clothes more than I can. (And the bonus is now I can see and get to my favorite items in my closet).
I am so hopeful that… Continue
Today I am looking forward to giving of my time. I will be helping stuff swag bags for the Ladies Who Launch Live event, (which is this Saturday). It should be fun. I am a very active, and tactile person. so stuffing bags is right up my alley.
Tomorrow I have been invited to and MTV Movie Awards Celebrity Gift Lounge. So I will be receiving my own gifts tomorrow. (It's funny how the universe provides). :) Continue

Today I gave money to a homeless man at an intersection. He assured me that once he got his rebate from the IRS he would also give money to someone else in need. Whether or not that actually happens it was just nice to hear him say it. It seemed like he was participating in the 29-Day Giving Challenge.
I have been giving advice to friends and family in need of some guidance. It feels really good to hear that my suggestions have proven fruitful. In fact, my brother finally watched the movie The… Continue
Ok, ok. I was out of town and now I am back home. I am excited to back on board. Today I will clean out my closet and give away clothes and shoes that I no longer use.
Happy Sunday all! :) Continue

Well, it's been a little tough keeping track, as I am on vacation. But I am doing my best to give something each day. Tomorrow is another day. So I will make sure to make a record of what I give. It is still exciting to be involved in the process and read about other people's experiences. Continue
