Sound pretty busy, huh? You'd think...but! I feel like I can be doing more. Helping more. Giving more. Changing more.
So, I started 4 new projects in the past week.
1. ATP- Additional Tutoring Program. It will be a tool to connect students( mainly freshmen) to link leaders who can tutor them on their own time to create a personal relationship that goes beyond the classroom.
2. LEFTS- Link Extension for Transfer Students. This will create a subsection in Link Crew to be responsible for students who transfer to Wood from other schools, not only freshmen. I personally feel that it would be more difficult to successfully transition to our high school as a junior or a senior than it would be for a freshmen.
3. Horner Bible Reading Plan- Look it up online! you read 10 chapters a day (i know that sounds like a lot, but it flies by!) from 10 different books of the Bible. I started yesterday and I am reading from the books of: Genesis, Joshua, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Matthew, Acts, Romans, and 1 Thess. Already I can feel my heart being changed and encouraged through the Scripture! Give it a loook (:
4. Tune-Up Tuesday: You examine your heart and choose one thing to focus on throughout the day. (If you are religious, like me, you pray about the changes God wants you to make in your life). For example, I focused on being more patient. I constantly had to remind myself to keep my cool and be happy in situations that would've normally annoyed me. It made a HUGE impact in my day and my mood.
I am going to make flyers and post them around school and around the neighborhood. I feel that even if people aren't religious, they can still relate to the need to improve their habits and can greatly grow from this sort of exercise.
So, basically, I am reallllly inspired. The thing that has started this all off is prayer and being in the Word. If you feel your faith is lacking fire, go to the source--Scripture!
God bless. (:

Wow!
hey, I know that feeling of thinking "I could be doing more ..." Well, you could always be doing more; it does not mean what you are currently doing is not enough. Just throwing it out there, but if you can handle all this and still manage to give something to yourself here and there -- go for it.
When you do you have time to breathe and sleep??? You are a go-getter! And you are an inspiration...Bless you for all that you do!
