Today's gift was a simple hug to my dad. We went out for dinner this afternoon, and when we got home and he was about to take off, the thought came to me. I think he was a bit surprised because normally we do "the guy" thing where physical contact is limited, but it just seemed right today. I know he has had his hands and mind full dealing with my current situation.

Today I took the first steps to do my "homework" from the life coach. Since I totally took myself off any kind of medication in December, the coach suggested an extremely low dosage of ativan to be taken when needed. I called my primary care physician and got a small script for the stuff. I also took a walk in the woods today just to get some exercise. I did a little research on a possible volunteering position within the town, but there wasn't much to be had. I took a bit of a snooze then continued watching Voyager. One of my friends called to check in on me and see how I was doing. I thought that was pretty cool.
