Right outside my door

I didn't even have to go anywhere to give my gift today.
I heard a neighbor trying to move a huge box from out on the front doorstep. It was twice her size and she had a huge bandage under her nose. She said she didn't need any help moving it, but I told her it's OK to let someone give you a hand. Turned out to be way too cumbersome for her to move.
We joked about how cats always sit and watch you doing stuff, but they never pitch in.

I was so inspired, that when I was driving down the street, I let someone out of a driveway. Not that I wouldn't normally do that, but sometimes I don't even notice that someone is trying to get out of a driveway.
It kept me in that frame of mind that I want to be part of a community where people are kind to each other, and are not just rushing to get past each other. You have to slow down to notice other people's needs.

Hopefully the women I had the privilege to help today will help others in their lives too.
