29 Gifts, Day... Um...

I stopped blogging, so I stopped counting, but today wins the prize for the fastest gift turn around.

I was in the check out line at Trader Joe's tonight while the clerks were trading places at the check stand. The incoming checker brought a drawer full of cash and set it down on the counter in front of me while she picked up some bags to bag up my food.

I said, "Oh you can go ahead and drop the cash in there while you are at it. I wouldn't mind."

She said, "I would, but then I'd have to put my paycheck in there as well. But here's something for you!" And with that she dropped a little chocolate bar in my bag. I laughed and thanked her.

As I was making my way out the door and back to the parking lot I heard two girls behind me talking, "I never win anything! I just want to win something for once, you know?"

I whipped the chocolate bar out of my bag, turned to the girl and in my best Bob Barker voice said, "Congratulations! You have just WON!" while I quickly plopped it in her hand. The two of them giggled and shrieked about that all the way back to their car.
