29 gives in one day---remarkably easy ! Last day round one--fanfare please!
I had the idea to give 29 things on my last day. So I plastered a smile on my face and knocked out at least ten gives before I got to the coffee shop.!! (including cheery Goodmornings!) Everyone wanted to talk to me today (coffee shop nodding acquaintances) so I hope I can count my comments, though I didn't always get there first. Another 8. I bought a bun for my satin connection--- a lady who makes wedding dresses and doesn't mind me nipping in to pick up armhole bits etc. for my art projects---I love her. Gave thanks too. Talked to complete strangers in the street and in shops, with smiles and laughs. Another seven, i think. Two texts to tell friends I'm thinking of them. I might do some emails or cards as I planned, or just take it out in extra kisses on my lovely man.
I thought the 29 things in one day was going to be a tall order and full of giving things, with smiles and so on to make up the numbers--- but I forgot any packages (morning took me by surprise today) and so the extending myself into the usually anonymous town just grew and grew. I couldn't get over how jolly it all was, how people accosted me before I was about to accost them-- my aura preceeded me today-- and how quickly I chalked up the gives (I mean I've remembered more since I sat down to write this.) It seems just the idea of it set a magic machine rolling. Yet again though, I GOT so much more than I GAVE!
