29-Day Giving Challenge

I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted!! Much has been happening and it's all amazingly good.

My life really began to change one week ago today, when I received a call about the PERFECT JOB. A headhunter had heard about me through a friend and she was interested in meeting with me. I was hired on the spot. I started two days later and could NOT be happier!! I am now the person to whom a very famous & immensely wonderful man is dictating his memoir. I had worked for Sidney Sheldon for nearly five years, and he dictated his 18th & final novel, as well as his memoir, to me. So this work is right up my alley. It's truly work I love.

Last weekend I had been gifted with a pass to attend Mark Victor Hansen's MegaSpeaking weekend. Mark is the co-creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series of books and what a wonderful, loving & philanthropically-minded man he is. That guy has a heart of gold & the weekend far surpassed even my wildest expecations.

When I arrived last Friday (Day #19), my hubby and I were down to our last $8.70 I'm not kidding. That is all the money we had left to our names!! But I met extraordinary people, and through a series of truly divine events, after I'd tithed $2 to the Mark Victor Hansen Foundation, I was gifted with $870 cash!! It seems surreal to me, and the story is far too long to share here, but it is the honest to God's truth. Not only did I gain $870, but I was also gifted with $1000 worth of chiropractic care for Sam and me - free!! Something we both desperately need. Plus I ended up with a book deal of my own (can you believe this?), as well as an offer to ghost write a book for a woman for a 50/50 split of the profits. All in one weekend!! And if that weren't enough, this morning, when I put on a pair of pants that had been in my cupboard for the past couple months, I found $29 in the pocket.

I firmly believe that doing the 29 Day Challenge has not only increased my giving, but it has opened my heart up to receiving in a way that it's never been opened before. I'm so grateful to Cami for this beautiful gift. This is one heck of a wonderful community & I'm proud to be a part of it all.

I hope to post more regularly again from here on, and I look forward to reading more of yours.

Best always,
Mary

Thank you, Stacey and Lynn!! That's the funny thing. I've just stumbled into jobs working for writers -- amazingly talented writers at that. They dictate books to me that I transcribe, and I'm right in the midst of their creative process all day long. The notion of me actually writing a book myself is brand new, though I will confess that I've enjoyed writing stories ever since I was a little girl. We'll see what happens!

Heaven has opened its windows up to you as that's just what tithing promises. I'm a firm believer in giving
10 % off the top of every gain. God bless you and if you ever have the time, have I got a story for you to help me write. It sounds like fiction but I guarantee, it is all true and the unbelievable part of it is I'm still alive to tell about it. I'm wishing you blessings as more and more of the fresh breath of heaven falls upon you. Effie Truver
