A blessing to give

Hello everyone

My name is Larry De Baptiste, a man who is being lead to become a pastor, which quite frankly bring me much joy, concidering the type of life I lead, which is a chapter for another time (smiles)

I came to Los Angeles to get away from New York, only to find that homelessness is growing at a rate that is quite alarming to say the least, which motivated me to want to feed,possible clothe from time to time, or on a very big day, place someone in a motel for a week or two, just so they can relax and have the benefits of taking a shower and such.

But for the likes of me, I am being lead to build enough funds to actually house 3000 homeless men, women and or familes, people, who would be going to shcool, while also be of service to the communities in which they would reside in by way of keepinmg them clean, which would help many build a resume of volunteering, with the hopes of getting a permanant job.

My plan of doing this is by way of selling socks, at a price that all can afford, such as 3 pairs for a dollor, or sports 4 pairs $1.50, which of course would mean many socks would have to be purchased.

It has been placed upon my heart to sell the socks for such a low price, so that we all can unite and do exactly what is being done here, people working for a common cause to help edify another.

I have been hitting road block for some time now, which have lead to my wanting to give up, andremain with what my wife andI have always been doing, feed, clothes and on those good days enable someone to have a place to stay, but when I was lead to this community, I knew that I had to continue on wit hwhat shall become a mighty force of love sharing forward.

There are many people, who are helping by purchasing our socks and with a little hope, and faith we are going to permanantly house 5 people, who will be working in the areas of Central and Vernon of Los Angeles nad we have been blessed with having the ability to have people challenge us by way of providing meals according to how many people join our sites and participate, which allowed us tonight to provide ten wholesome meals to people living under the highway of trinity and I believe 17th st right under the 10 highway.

My wife, mother in-law and I went with meals, which consisted of chicken, steak, potatoe salad,greens, rice and water, 9pm Saturday night, after picking up the meals from the donors, who had witness that our site are growing slowly, cook and made it possible for us to feed ten people, one who hugged me saying that he didn't have to worry about food tomorrow morning, meaning Sunday morning.

So not only are we feeding daily, but because of God and people, we're also be feeding at night, thus giving me the opportunity to share God's word.

I thank each of you for doing all you do, for all you do is sharing love like that of a brush fire, which i'm sure will continue to grow beyond the stars.
