It has been a rather busy week, but then again each week seems to fly by faster than the week before. I guess most weeks are busy for most folk out there.
Day 22 - Some days draw to a close and you can't think of what to give, and then something just pops into your head. My sister had asked me to buy her some fruit from the store. I had forgotten and asked my hubby to buy us all some fruit while he was waiting for me to conduct my Weight Watchers class. I then heard that my sisters husband had just thrown up a job (which he could not afford to do). I knew they were already strapped for cash to see them through the rest of the month. By the time I got home I still didn't know what I was going to give...then it was clear. Instead of my sister paying for the fruit...give her the fruit as my 'special' give for the day.
Day 23 - My husband and I were out seeing clients, and stopped at a robot. An elderly gentleman was asking for donations. I am very weary about who I give donations to (I mentioned in an earlier blog that many people ask for donations and simply use the money for alcohol or drugs). This man appeared very 'clean' looking, and I felt my heart tug, and I knew that I had to give him a donation, and that was my 'special' give for the day.
Day 24 - I had a lovely pair of slip on sandals in my cupboard. They were very pretty with a flat heal and sequins over the top of the sandal. I had worn them a few times, but never felt they looked good on me as the sole of the sandal appeared to be too wide for my foot. I asked Grace, an employee, to try them on...they fitted her as if they had been made for her. I asked her if she liked them, and of course she was over the moon. I told her she had just been given a present...and she was so appreciative. It felt so good giving her the pretty sandals and knowing that she would look so much better in them than I did...rather than leave them lying in my cupboard.
Day 25 - I received an email about a 10 month old baby that had just been diagnosed with brain cancer. 2 of the Search Engines have promised a 32cent donation to the parents for every single email that is sent out about this tragic story.I sent it onto friends, and tried to send it to my list on the 29-Day Challenge, but I could not get the image to load. If anyone would like to send me their email address, I will gladly send the image on...this is an absolutely wonderful gift. It doesn't sound like much, but it adds up by the numbers that in turn send the email out.
Day 26 - The lady that works in my house gets paid for the number of days that she works. Today she needed to be somewhere. I usually still pay her for the days that she doesn't come in, as money is very precious to her. Today, however, I decided to make her pay for today, my 'special' give.
Hope that everyone out there has the most awesome week ever. HAPPY GIVING!!!
