29-Day Giving Challenge

Yesterday I sent out Valentine cards and little gifts to Ryan H. and Ruby J., two of the brave kids going through treatment and recovery from serious illnesses, whose stories I read on the PostPals site.
Made Valentines cards and some homemade gifts to send to my older son and his family who live overseas. This past weekend I bought some hardly used hardback and paperback books at our local library fundraising sale; today I boxed up the titles that I thought the Pine Ridge Reservation high school library would find useful and sent them off along with several requested classroom books.
Made my husband a birthday card (handmade is a big tradition with our family!) and a birthday cake from scratch! The result is always very lopsided and funny looking; a great baker, I am NOT; but made with love. :)
I received a thank you from a friend for a book that I'd given her and a free movie rental from the local video store.
Nothing too exciting or dripping with symbolism...just going along very pleasantly....aren't I the lucky one? Yes, indeed, I am, and now I realize that more and more every day.
