A Totally Unexpected and Awesome Receive!
i had an incredible receive a little while ago that i just had to share. first, a little background. my birthday is November 27 and i decided to take a page from Stacey and ask my friends on Facebook to donate to a cause as a birthday gift. the cause i chose was the Susan Komen Breast Cancer foundation (since my sister Jenny died a few years ago from it). a couple of friends donated so far and i was pleased with how it was going.
anyway, today i got a notice that a man i had never heard of before had donated $50 ! i could not figure out for the life of me who he was or how he found my birthday wish. i sent him a message thanking him and asking him if i knew him and how he came to donate via my birthday Cause. he wrote me back and said that he is hardly ever on Facebook but happened to be there today and my birthday wish flashed across the screen and he thought it was a great cause and just impetuously donated. isn't that the coolest thing ? it's like the best birthday present ever!

Giving gifts instead of receiving gifts for your birthday ... someone else on here said they started doing that, and I think it is an awesome idea.
It's cool that you got a huge give from a stranger; sounds like he should be on this site. : )
