Ok, back to the no sleep issue, bigtime.
After I posted last night's blog entry, I took a warm bath, lit some candles and relaxed. This was after our phone call with Stephanie which went really well. I then decided to pull out a book I have read before. It's by one of my favorite authors Marianne Williamson. "Illuminata" is a book of prayers. I read a few random pages, tried to go to sleep and burst into tears. I cried like a baby for a long time. I guess it needed to come out, maybe a delayed reaction. Who knows. So this "episode" and about 4 hours sleep, not in a row---I look and feel like a Train Wreck. Again.
With all that said---I had a busy day today, but didn't Give all that much. Some mentions as the Journey continues:
1- I used my good driving manners today, which is a big thing for me!
2- This is really yesterday's Give but it was after I posted. My son Danny has been pleading for a dog, of which I want NO part of. I can barely take care of the humans in the house and we have been pet-free (cats) for one whole week. I caved last night and agreed that he/we will get a Golden Retriever. He is quite a salesman at 14 years old. Told me dogs make people happy. We need happy.
3- Danny had a rough night of sleep too, and this morning he had a doctors appointment at 8 AM. He was passed out in the car on the way to school, so I offered to take him home and let him sleep until after my appointment. He was so grateful. He's a good student and doesn't like to miss school --he got there at 11 AM and looked much better!
4- I made it a point to hold the door and elevator doors for a bunch of different people coming and going in and out of stores and buildings. Even smiled at them too....:)
5- Andrew- my husband- came home from work and said he was sick. When I went out for a haircut, I brought him home some soup.
6- A woman from NJ who I met on Twitter has been super nice and sends me private messages so I told her a glimpse of our family crisis. She offered to speak on the phone and asked if we had been getting counseling, etc. offered hugs too. That was this morning. Tonight I "Tweeted" about her- complimenting her on being a great friend and caring person.Several people responded and retweeted it.
Sorry for the ramblings......ZZZZZZZ....
