Across the miles
Today was inspired by the post Erin left regarding Lubabat Scotland. Send a card to brighten her day and let her know we are thinking of her as she deals with a serious medical condition. I happily filled out a card and sent it on its way. Of all my gives so far, this one felt the best and inspired me to send a few more cards filled with good thoughts and love.
After really thinking about this give all day, I received an unexpected call from my friend, Heidi. She's the high school friend I reconnected with at my reunion a few weeks ago, who also randomly sent me a card in the mail. I was able to thank her over the phone for making me day with her card - AND, she offered me a job! After not working for so many months, any chance of making some money is a welcome opportunity. And I would be kidding myself to think this isn't part of the full circle of giving.

how fun that your gives and your receives both involved cards! and the job offer was the icing on the cake. seems like when we open our hands to give, we are able to receive as well. i am so happy for you. Hugs, Dawn
