An Apology As A Gift
One thing that I have learned to do a little differently in the giving area is to apologize without qualifying it or defending what I did.... just a straight out flat apology.
That can sometimes be a gift that helps another feel empowered, understood and cared for.

when you really think about it, it's not really an apology if there's a "but" attached. i'm certainly guilty of that - thanks for bringing it to my attention. great give. Hugs, Dawn

An apology definitely is a gift. As a child my father NEVER apologized even when it was clear that he was wrong about something. It would have meant everything to me for him to say sorry. So, good job to you! :)
