Day 20

I am in the midst of writing a book. My book will include some of my story. I told my mom this during my visit and while she said she trusted me at the time, she later went into a major fear cycle about what I might put out there about my childhood. My gift was not to react, or enter the drama. I reminded her who I am and that I have no intention to hurt her. I then was able to direct her toward healing her own shame. Shame means those feelings have not been worked through, resolved and forgiven. It is an opportunity to do so. We'll see what comes of this. I am sure it is a gift for us all.

Day 21

Today I gave my son a day at the beach and a new pair of goggles. He loves the beach.

Day 22

Today I gave a friend the gift of abundance and time. She called to stop her subscription to a bi-weekly basket of organic produce I provide, because of financial worries. When I am in a place of abundance I am able to let go with ease and convey that to the person who feels bad about leaving. That is a gift. I also gave her my time, ear and helped her see that all was well.

At Toastmasters I stepped up to take on the Toastmaster role for our club contest. I had not done this before, so it stretched me a bit. I accepted the gift of stretching and gave the gift of taking on the role when needed.

Day 23

Today I mailed a big box of my son's outgrown clothes to my friend in Iowa who has a smaller boy. I also tucked in a few toys. I know she can use them.

This has been a journey rich with the opportunity to be present and be grateful for everything that shows up, even the hard stuff.

Very thoughtful gives, Susan..The box of clothes will come in handy and like Christmas when the little boy finds the toys. I wish you well on your book..keep us posted on how it's coming along. Hoping your Mom will get more comfortable with the idea as time goes by.
