29-Day Giving Challenge

Catch up...getting into the routine of blogging as well as giving

Just short blogs as I'm playing catch up

Day 8 (Tues)
I managed to make it to the supermarket and was able to donate some unwanted cat food (my cat is so fussy, will eat something one day and turn her nose up at it the next) to the local cat shelter.

Day 9 (Wed)
Today I gave of my time and did my voluntary duty as secretary by minuting the monthly meeting of the sports club. Can I count when I actually get around to producing the minutes for circulation as another give..I think so lol.

Day 10 (Thurs)
The snow hit again today and so I didn't venture out. It feels quite isolating when you live on your own and know you can't go out if you choose. No give that I am consciously aware of today.

Day 11 (Fri)
I babysat for my friend and her partner so they could enjoy some couple time. But the little man was so good he slept all the way through so I didn't get a cuddle or a play but I did go and watch him sleep. And I did get "babysitter chocolate" as me and my friend call it.

Day 12 (Sat)
I recommended a book to a friend The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. She was looking for something to read. This is a romantic, quirky book that you have to give effort to but the pay off is big.

Day 13 (Sun)
I always treat myself to a coffee and a cake when I buy the Sunday newspapers and I put the change I received in the charity box on the counter.

Day 14 (Mon)
I gave relationship advice to one of my male friends which always feels weird. I sometimes think men are really from another planet (sorry guys) but hearing his insecurities made me realise they're not so different because I had been where he was.

You have been busy giving and you had some very good gives. Snow day I think that the gift there was your safety and comfort. You gave yourself that.
