29-Day Giving Challenge

I decided that I wanted to be intentional about my first day of the challenge. I chose today, the 15th of February for a few different reasons. One of the biggest reasons was the fact that I needed the week to grieve our recent IVF failure before embarking on this journey with an open heart.

I chose my husband to be my first recipient. He has been with my every step of the way and is hurting as well. He has gone above and beyond to take care of me during the difficult process of IVF. My husband works from home and had a large amount of work he needed to get done this morning before heading to the pool to coach. I am off today in honor of President's Day. My gift was to make sure he had everything he needed in order to get through his day. I made breakfast and a big lunch for him before he left. I also made sure to pack a full water bottle and some snacks for him to enjoy during his 6 hours of practice. I have been difficult to live with over the past few weeks and I made sure to do everything today with a cheerful attitude and genuine kindness. I know that he appreciated my efforts and was able to get most of his work done before heading to work.

I am already thinking about my plans for tomorrow.

I understand your pain as i also went through IVF....twice. It was unsuccessful both times and I had a hard time with it. I hope you begin to feel renewed soon. Just know you are not alone. It was awesome that you began your giving with your husband. Even though they are not physically going through all the IVF "stuff" they feel it emotionally. Thinking of you. \

I am so happy you are now a part of this loving family virtue~ I am sorry the IVF failed. I really am.. Your gifts were very touching as your heart is suffering~ I hope that you will be happier soon. It's a hard thing to go through and my heart aches for you both. Blessings and hugs to you~
