29-Day Giving Challenge

I decided to start today since it's the beginning of the month. While i waited for the bus for work today there was a young mother with her 5month old (beautiful) baby and stroller the bus came and she was having a hard time getting on so I grabbed the stroller and carried it on for her, I sat down next to her and talked to her and the baby his name is elijah. she told me how her mom thought that she shouldn't have kept the baby, and how she was attending church every sunday and how they helped her with all the things that she need for the both of them and how happy she was that she kept him. I held him for the rest of the ride he smiled and laughed the whole time it made my day :) I told her how proud i was of her and that she was doing a great job and how God has BIG things in store. we got off at the same stop I carried him off the bus and placed and fastened him in his stroller she is going to bring a picture of him to my job we gave each other a big hug,

What a wonderful first day of giving. Being open and helping those in need to those around us is so important and sometimes so difficult. Your presence may a different to this young woman and her new baby. You have shown her that the world is not a cruel and unforgiving place but one that be caring, loving and helpful. I welcome you and thank you for sharing with us such a wonderful give! Take Care! Sharon

Sounds like a wonderful experience.
Babies just tug at my heart ... I always thought they tugged at everyone's at couldn't imagine anyone not wanting to keep their baby (but I do understand giving a baby up for adoption if that's the best thing for the baby).
You said Elijah made your day; I think you may have made his mom's day. :)
