Day 1 was harder than I thought it would be.
Isn't it funny how we find the weirdest places to criticize ourselves? At the end of the day, I couldn't decide what to count as my Day 1 gift because nothing I came up with seemed good enough. Looking back, I gave several different things, mostly gifts of time and/or service. Most of them small, but significant enough to the recipients. Why do I not feel like I should count those??

Just start writing down what you do - you'll be surprised. I try to plan ahead for the next day, but I've found over time situations present themselves so I can give of my time in some small way. Each gesture is significant and counts if it is done with a heart of joy and gratitude.

it seems to be a common problem, feeling like some gifts count and some don't. we've all struggled with it, but by the end of the challenge we have usually come to a point where we appreciate the value of all gifts both great and small, tangible and intangible. welcome to the 29 Gifts family, Beth!
