Day 13 [Kettles and Toasters]
Today I woke up feeling like ass. It was Valentines day and I spent the previous night over the toilet. So I called in sick and spent the day recovering. Recovering is a rhetorical term, because I couldn't quite catch up on the sleep I desired because our domestic worker that came that day.
But I was glad she came becasue I had been planning to give her my old toaster and kettle after we received hand me downs from someone else.
She was so happy becasue she didnt have either and was used to boiling her water on the stove.
Had I not been sick that day I would not have seen the joy in her face.
