"I can never remember my own cell phone number," I heard her tell someone on her cell phone. "But Rebecca has it in her phone - Rebecca, what's my number again?" She used to have the number taped to the back of the phone. I'm not sure if it fell off or if she's gotten a new phone since then, but last night my gift was this: I got a label and wrote her cell phone number on it. Then, I got two pieces of tape to reinforce it with. I didn't know where her cell phone was, and she was on her other phone so I couldn't ask her, so I stuck all the pieces on the edge of the kitchen counter.
At quarter to twelve last night, I remembered what I'd done and said, "Did you see the tape and label stuck on the edge of the counter?"
"Yes - I was wondering what that was?"
"That's your phone number!" I said. She laughed. "And here's the tape to make sure it stays on your phone," I explained. She was grateful:)

What a great idea!
Comment by Dawn wwt on February 4, 2012 at 6:53pm what a helpful idea! and you were sure on your toes to pick up on her saying that. i had to do a similar thing with our phone chargers...labeled them with whose phone they belong to. there's so many chargers in my house it gets confusing. Hugs, Dawn
Very thoughtful! :)
