Update on my last few days...
Day 15 (Fri) I again made sure to notice and thank coworkers for their work and efforts, as well as calling a friend to offer to come to help her clean house for a get-together we were having at her house the next day. I also picked up her son's almond milk from the daycare, so it wasn't sitting in the fridge there all weekend.
Day 16 (Sat) We had a potluck with some friends, and I was able to bring several dishes, arrived early to help get last minute details taken care of and things set up, and helped clean up afterward. It was a great afternoon, with a lot of conversation, and kiddo's playing and having a great time. We also went over to my younger sister's house to see her and my older sister, so the kiddos could see their aunties. Scott had such a blast! He was so tired, he almost didn't make it home awake.
Day 17 (Sun) My son is (sort of) starting to potty train, and wanted to sit on his potty chair and read stories. I think we read 12-15 stories before he said he was done. I love that he is so interested in books, and wants to read so much. He was able to stay on the potty and tell me which books he wanted. He is so smart!
Day 18 (Mon) I left an "I love you" note for a co worker, who is also a very close friend, in response to one that she left for me. It was a nice reminder for both of us how much we appreciate each other.
I also realized today that I have been having a lot of stress, and it is affecting my reactions and attitudes in the moment while at work and with my family. Another gift that I am giving, starting today, is to work on better stress management strategies, and develop a more positive outlook in the face of stress.
