29-Day Giving Challenge

My last blog was 'Let it snow Let it snow'. And it did. And today is the first time out in one week. It has been difficult to do overt gifts when trapped at home, but many prayers have been said and offered to all those who need it..... And I made phone calls to those who may not have somewhere to go Christmas day. Everyone is OK and taken care of....My biggest prayer was for a couple in Limoux, Langedoc, France - we are bringing some holiday sparklers to the party tomorrow from Limoux which reminded me of them. They own a sports store in Limoux - I have no idea what their name is - but they were some of the friendliest French people I met - they couldn't speak a word of English but with my basic broken French, we managed to get two shirts for my husband for his birthday. They spent an amazing amount of time wrapping them for him complete with decorative bows and paper.....I had no idea what I was picking out for him but it turned out to be soccer shirts - they were so amazingly impressed! I guess they think we only like football. But I thought about them today and how nice they were and I just hope they are doing well in spite of the world economy. And I pray that everyone has a great holiday season, no matter what your religious or spiritual beliefs may be, and everyone has a wonderful prosperous new year!

Long distance wishes and memories of someone who gently touched your life. May we all be blessed in such a way and offer such blessings ourselves.
