Day 16...February

I started this back in December but did not keep up...i was determined, however...sometimes it's not easy finding something to give or help out with...but knowing that love and time are the greatest gifts, i am sure to give those away on a daily basis...i started this blog to help ease the pain of my broken marriage...i found myself crying and distraught...my husband loved me one day and despised me the next...i couldn't handle being treated that way anymore and although i prayed and hoped, God led me towards the right path...and sometimes we don't want to see that path, but i am all the better for it. My divorce is underway and I have recovered from whatever darkness and oppression I have felt during the last year of my marriage. And there is something in giving...i conciously make decisions to give. My character is already that of love and kindness but to be aware of giving and loving...truly be in that moment is moving. What I wanted when I first started seems so trivial now. I have the love and respect of my children as well as admiration and in that lies true success. Good things happen to me more and more frequently...by surprise at times. I expect nothing from what i give but i do know that joy and love are further multiplied when they are shared. So, for those who are just starting, don't give up and keep giving. Love and prayers, Arlene. And by the way, i made my sister a sandwich today, i am making her bed, and cutting a flower to give to the woman who sells newspaper out on the busy intersection...Life is good and always worth living.
