The gift I chose for today was easy and anyone can/should do it! You can visit www.goodsearch.com and every time you search, a charity of your choice earns approximately 1 cent. Granted, that's not a lot of money...but when you think about how many times per day you go to google or yahoo to search for something, and multiply that by how many people use GoodSearch, that can really add up to a lot of money for a charity! GoodSearch is powered by Yahoo! search and provides the exact same results.
Once you go to GoodSearch, just enter a charity into the second empty box and click Verify. Then search away! There's even a handy button you can click that shows how much has been donated to the charity year to date! I've made GoodSearch my default browser. Looking around on the internet is something I already do, so why not let a charity take advantage?
On a side note, the charity I selected is Newborns in Need (www.newbornsinneed.org), which provides supplies to babies born into poverty. Take a look at their site and consider making them the beneficiary of your clicks! I have to be honest, though, I'm supporting them for several reasons, and one of them is that I will be starting up their Northern California chapter in the new year!! I am so excited to be involved and will give more details later!
