Day 17 - Please god bless the people of Haiti

Today was a complete day of jury deliberation. Wow, an extremely arduous day. The jury finally came to a verdict. A gift to the plaintiff, although small, too much in my opinion. I feel so badly for the defendant and her family a 7 1/2 year ordeal from a mentally unstable plaintiff. I felt better after talking to the defendant's attorney who said she would be happy. I got home exhausted and needed to pack for a business trip to Florida. I sat still just long enough to watch the world news, and felt compelled to give to the poor people of Haiti. Having lived through the Northridge earthquake I can not even fathom what those poor people are going through. I was scared of certain noises for months, and saw some extraordinary damage. I didn't have a choice but to contribute to the Red Cross effort for Haiti. Please, please if you can remotely afford to do so, contribute, even $5 will make a difference to this desperate country.
