Day 2

Today I gave two gifts. When I went to the grocery store they were collecting for our troops so as I shopped for my groceries I also shopped for some of the needed items on their list. It was hard to decide what to buy but I finally settled on toiletries and trail mix. It felt good to be shopping for our brave soldiers. I feel very grateful to all these men and women who put their lives on the line in service of our country. I have so much respect and admiration for them. I pray for their safety and the end to this war.

I didn't find everything I needed at that grocery store so I went to a second store and at the checkout counter I noticed that they were taking donations to feed needy families in our community this holiday season. Well, in my new frame of mind I just couldn't pass that up so I made a contribution there as well.

It was a good day!
