Day 2, Shirtless
Today I gave very happily...
I took a paperbag full of non-perishable goods to the local fire station, which is a drop off location that helps support the LA Regional Food Bank (http://www.lafightshunger.org). But, as I arrived at the fire station, there was no one to be found. I waited outside for a few minutes before ringing the doorbell to the station. As I did, the large doors into the fire station opened and a shirtless fireman greeted me. He was so nice and happy to receive the donation. With a kind smile, he wished me a good day and thanked me for my generosity. I walked away feeling happy to help those in need this holiday season. And...I sort of see the shirtless firefighter as an added perk to a great gift!
