Day 2 was for Dad watching over me from above
Today my husband and I took the last pieces of furniture from my Dad's place and spent the days cleaning and scrubbing. It was our final Goodbye to him and we cleaned and left it just the way it was when he moved in 10 years ago. I sat on the floor and cried when we were done. Then walked room by room and said goodbye to my Dad. Today was for him and for me it has been on my shoulders for a while. We handed in the keys to the wonderful woman that has been his landlord and i offered to help her if she needed rides to the dr or anywhere. She took care of my Dad and my Dad took care of her.
Bye Dad and now more than ever i need you to watch over me. I will miss you with all my heart, love you baby girl!

You touched my heart, sorry for you and I feel the same way with my dad who passed away a few months ago, I miss him very much too. He is still there looking over you.

Like Deb I am crying too. How much you loved him is so obvious, it's just beautiful. I am crying for me too as when I was in Brisbane a few months ago, where my parents were and I hadn't seen them for 12+ years and wanted to see them my father said no. We have been estranged for that time for no special reason and not of my choice. They are in their mid 80's and i may never get to see them again.
