29-Day Giving Challenge

Here is a weird gift for you.

A friend was using my computer and says "why do you have a picture of my friends boyfriend on your computer?" I said "huh?" so he shows me a pic of a guy i have been out with a few times. I said, um..." he is single." "No, he is dating my friend" he declares. So he contacts her. Turns out, no, they are not still together. That should have been the end of it right there. But wow, bitter! She goes on and on giving him messages to tell me about what a snake in the grass the guy is and so on and so forth..... I said thank you, i appreciate the advice but i take all advice from Ex's with a grain of salt as there are always 2 sides to things. THen she says to tell me "just keep her name out of it, but be warned about him" i said "sorry, i believe in truth and confrontation". So i let him know what was being said about him. He appreciated me telling him the truth of what happened, and didnt say one bad thing about her other than kind of making a face and saying , "yeah, things just didnt work out with her"... that shows way more class to me than her Jerry Springer reaction. Not that i wont keep an eye open, but really? I would never badmouth anyone like that... especially to someone i dont even know..... so yeah, the gift of truth was what i gave today. i dont like talking behind peoples backs.

I think you handled the situation very well -- and so did the man you are dating.  I hope things work out for the two of you.
