Day 22 & 23. How perfect is the timing?

What happened to me these last two days, makes me think like the old man with the good news, bad news story, I'll just have to wait and see.
After the food poisoning incident, I was booked off work for two days. The dr's note says that I should be fit for work by tomorrow. I was very upset, because mr. Conscience that sits on my shoulder never lets up. You know, if I am not there to teach, the world as we know it might just come to a screeching halt! LOL
Anyway, yesterday I was still feeling really weak, so it didn't take much convincing from my DH to make me stay at home. I did pick up my grand daughter from school and babysat for the afternoon because her babysitter was not able to.
While we were sitting and having a chat last night, my phone rang. It was my daughter, calling from an ambulance on the way to hospital. She had taken a very bad fall at Netball and they were taking her to have her knee checked out. At first I thought she was joking, but when the ambulance driver put the siren on, I was convinced. The knee was too swollen to make an accurate diagnosis and they told her to see the orthopedic specialist as soon as possible and to keep the weight off the leg untill then. Miss Braveheart wouldn't let us come to the hospital, saying she was OK and would speak to us in the morning.
This morning at 6, she phones, in tears, she is in a lot of pain and not able to drive and she has to write a test at 8. Now this is where the perfect timing comes in - it just so happens that I am still booked off school and that I am able to play chauffeur for the day. I got up, got dressed and left home half an hour later. Took her to write her test, then took her to her practical class, waited, took her to lunch, then took her to work (she is a Netball coach), helped her with Netball trials, then took her to a meeting at University Netball where she was informed that she was awarded a Netball scholarship and then brought her home to spend the night. In between all that I made an appointment for her with the ortho for tomorrow afternoon and I will take her after school.
Thats me done for the day, in more ways than one!

I am glad that you are healing from the food poisoning, and that you were able to be there for your daughter all day. That was a mighty big gift you were able to give. Timing is everything.
