29-Day Giving Challenge

Every year during this time (just before the 40 days towards Easter) the youth association of our church perform a play (a comedy). A group of  8 to 10 (mostly young) church members rehearse every Sunday afternoon from November until the ‘stage implementation’ in February.  The money they raise with the entrance fee is partly for charity purpose, and so is the money they collect with the lottery afterwards. Our eldest daughter also acted in those yearly plays a several times. This year one of the young girls (17 year old,  she is quit recently involved in the younger-group) played for the first time this year and she did a really good job. It needs guts to do this and stand on stage before a big audience! To show her my respect I bought her a bunch of spring flowers (daffodils) and handed them over to her after the play. Although it was just a small gesture, she was really moved and glad with this little bunch of ‘spring’. The little gesture made us both feel good I guess!

I bet it made her feel special and like she did a good job.  Very thoughtful.
