Day 25
Yesterday, I was intentional about giving compliments throughout my day--to the service guy who fixed my car, to two of my friends, to my husband and to both of my sons. I also took the time to listen and to console my best friend who is struggling mightily with her 16-year-old daughter's wardrobe choices and teen self-absorption. These days my teen boys and I are in a really good place (which I know could change any minute) so it was really nice to have the energy and frame of mind just to help my friend, to let her know what a fabulous mom she is and how much her daughter respects and adores her, and to give her all the hope I could that this too shall pass.

Isn't giving compliments fun? I have done that more lately, too...and it is heart-warming to see the smiles those compliments bring. :-)
